Graston (Myofascial Release)
What Is It?
Graston is an instrument assisted myofascial release technique. Stainless steel tools with a beveled edge actively break up fibrotic scar tissue and fascial restrictions which assists in soft tissue mobilization. This decreases tightness, improves range of motion, and decreases pain.
Treatable Conditions Include, But Not Limited To:
Tendinopathies (Achilles Tendonitis, Medial/Lateral Epicondylitis, Greater Trochanteric Bursitis, etc.)
Fascial syndromes (Trigger Finger, Plantar Fasciitis, ITB Syndrome, etc.)
Ligament Pain Syndromes (Ankle Sprains or other sprains)
Edema/Swelling Reduction
Post-surgical or Traumatic Scars/Adhesions
Entrapment Syndromes (Carpal/Tarsal Tunnel, Ulnar Entrapment, Thoracic outlet, etc.)
